MODACC

A visual identity to unite an entire industry

MODACC is the Catalan Fashion Cluster, a space for collective momentum for brands across the industry. Their daily operations blend collaboration, institutional representation, and industrial support. As a leading entity fostering competitiveness, they came to Soluble with the ambition to update their visual identity. The challenge was to reflect the intersection of textile tradition and a contemporary outlook.

They needed a flexible identity system, a visual narrative functional across multiple platforms, and a graphic toolkit consistent with the diversity of their ecosystem. The brand had to perform just as well on a clothing label as it would at a roundtable with European institutions. This tension between function and aesthetics, much like fashion itself, became the project's starting point.

It all starts with the concept

The design had to visualize an intention already present within the team: to organize without limiting. From there, we formulated a design objective that connected with the cluster’s essence: representing a network of brands that coexist, evolve, and project themselves from Catalonia to the world.

We looked at the past—at what endures—to project into the future. The visual concept for MODACC reinterprets the textile industry's analog codes—labels, frames, stamps—through a synthetic, functional, and versatile lens.

A logo, a hallmark

The MODACC logotype is built as a direct and recognizable visual hallmark, inspired by textile labels and the typographic frames of fashion retail. Its rectangular shape and sober typographic composition evoke clarity, order, and authenticity: essential values of the sector.

This same "seal" becomes the anchor point for the visual system. It is legible, recognizable, and robust, yet adaptable to its context, allowing for a clear and precise representation across all communications.

A flexible color palette

The color palette is built with one foot in restraint and the other in plurality. Black and white, inspired by the graphic imagery of labels, form the foundation. These colors anchor the system. From there, the emphasis shifts to the accents: colors drawn from the cluster’s own brands to represent their diversity, allowing the identity to breathe naturally in any piece and under any circumstance.

In MODACC, color is a living, versatile resource, capable of reflecting the ecosystem's diversity without losing coherence.

Typography that blends in

Typography at MODACC is a structural element providing order, clarity, and tone. Using it flexibly allows the brand to adapt to both institutional and expressive contexts, always maintaining a functional character consistent with the visual system.

Archivo serves as the identity’s base typeface for long-form text, while Season Mix is used for accents as a punctual, expressive resource.

The system as a guarantee

MODACC’s graphic system is designed to guarantee consistency, clarity, and recognition across all applications. Thanks to a step-by-step style guide, every piece of communication amplifies brand recognition while empowering the team.

MODACC was already a brand with purpose; it just needed an identity that allowed it to project that purpose clearly. Today, its visual universe functions as an operational tool: it organizes, connects, and represents the essence of a brand that multiplies the value of the organizations it brings together.
